On a rain swept wet surface, Farleigh hosted Thurnham, although having the better of the early play it was Thurnham who created the best openings, but were soon to pay for missed opportunities as it was West Farleigh with a neat finish opened the scoring. At around the 40 min mark two goals in a matter of minutes from Gavin Cole and Justin Taylor reversed the scoreline and the game turned. Thurnham continued to create some good chances, really should have been a greater margin, although it was midway through the second period that Steve Warren appeared to settle the match. The pitch became heavier and Farleigh adapted with a good spell, scoring their second giving an entertaining encounter through the last quarter. It wasn't until the last minutes that Gavin Cole added his second on the day to give Thurnham a 4 - 2 victory. New stand in keeper Warren had a solid performance with a notable one on one save in the second period.
